FINDING WASTE LIQUID DISPOSAL SOLUTIONS
Disposing of waste liquid comes with a price tag. As the volume of the liquid increases, the disposal cost goes higher and higher. When considering options for treatment and/or disposal, consider a Nishimura Works CD Dryer. Liquids, while somewhat difficult to handle, can be properly disposed of or recycled with the CD Dryer. Let the CD Dryer reduce both your costs and your ecological footprint.
PROBLEMS WITH WASTE LIQUIDS?
Disposal costs high?
Trouble treating liquids from new product development?
Need pre-disposal treatment of dangerous liquids?
The CD Dryer might be your answer. You could leave treatment up to specialists, but using a CD Dryer to treat waste liquids in-house can reduce the various costs for disposal. You may even find your company is a source for recyclable materials.
Merits of Drying Waste Liquids
Cost Reduction | The disposal cost of waste with a high water content can run high. Drying significantly reduces volume, dramatically reducing disposal fees. There is less hassle with disposal, leaving more resources for production, and reducing your running costs. |

Recycling | Depending on waste contents, drying can produce environmentally friendly organic products suitable for agricultural use as fertilizer, or as de-icers for winter snow. |
CASE STUDY ‐ DRYING WASTE LIQUID
Company C was looking for a solution to reduce the high cost of disposal for its waste liquid. After introduction of a CD Dryer, the company experienced a great savings in their waste disposal expenditures.
See below for more information.
INFORMATION
Background Information | Client Company C was using a condensing apparatus to condense to approximately 1/5 volume its 6000t/year of plating wastewater. Cost for the disposal of the remaining 1200 tons of condensed waste were about 36,000,000 Japanese Yen per year, about $300,000 USD or €270,000*. |
---|---|
Client’s Needs | Client Company C wanted to further reduce disposal cost by drying their remaining waste. |
RESULTS AFTER APPLICATION OF CD DRYER
The client continues to use the condensing apparatus to reduce the waste to 1/3 original volume, then uses a Nishimura Works CD-908 Dryer to dry the remainder before disposal. The dried waste amounts to a mere 25 tons per year, a reduction to only 0.4% of the original wastewater volume. Disposal costs have likewise been dramatically reduced to only 760,000 Japanese Yen (about $6300 USD or €5600*) per year, a 98% savings.
